Last tasted at Christie's Los Angeles, September, 2001. Garnet colored with aging rim, this spectacular wine showed traces of blackberries, cedar, cigar box and leathery characters on the nose. Almost Bordeaux like in structure with rich, ripe fruit flavors that linger on the palate. Drinking exceptionally well now this wine should continue to age gracefully in the future. MH
