DOMINUS ESTATE
Dominus Estate is owned by Christian Moueix, the owner of Pomerol's famous Château Pétrus. With winemaker, David Ramey, and general manager, Jean-Marie Maureze, he began producing Dominus with the 1983 vintage. Dominus is produced from the single vineyard, Napanook, just south of the Yountville mound and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It has now obtained worldwide recognition and although Californian by birth with its opulence, spiciness and rich fruit, it clearly has a French reference with its emphasis on elegance and refinement
