A BURR WALNUT CROSSBANDED, CHEQUERBANDED AND MARQUETRY UPRIGHT CORNER CUPBOARD, EARLY 18TH CENTURY
Inlaid with panels of seaweed marquetry with canted angles and a moulded cornice, fitted with an apsidal blue painted and gilt heightened interior with undulating shelves and arched mouldings with central grotesque mask and winged putti to the spandrels between foliate recessed panel pilasters, enclosed by a pair of fielded panel doors with chequer borders and geometric designs, the reverse of the doors with simulated veneered figuring of rosewood and burrwood, fitted with a central slide and enclosed by a pair of panelled doors below, on bracket feet
