A Sèvres gilt-metal-mounted pink-ground pierced circular dish and cover
with putto finial, the cover pierced and gilt with panels and scrolling foliage, the dish moulded with three richly gilt medallions inscribed VIRGILE, DANTE and HOMERE, flanked by three further medallions moulded with putti, the interior gilt with scrolls, mounted upon three paw feet, mid 19th century (light flaking to gilding) -- 24.5cm. diam.
