An informal jacket of bright blue satin
trimmed with embroidered borders worked in couched metal threads with peaches, prunus blossom and bamboo, with sea-wave motifs, the sleevebands of turquoise satin worked with exotic birds amongst peonies; and a matching apron skirt of red silk damask, trimmed with streamers and borders of blue satin, similarly worked, circa 1900
