Comb-type c.d.s. with "COREA" in Lower Segment
1906-09 collection on leaves with the first type featuring the comb including Inchon dated 1906 (10 May), a very early date, 1906 (11 June) envelope registered from Seoul to Philippines bearing 10s. and 50s. (a rare value on cover), 1906 (20 June) colourful envelope registered to Paris bearing 2s. (4) and 4s. (8) and 1909 envelope registered to Italu bearing a combination of Koban and Chrysanthemum issues. Second type (without comb) includes a 4s. stamp cancelled by a full and fine strike of "YUENSAN/COREA" c.d.s. (the only recorded example of this Chinese spelling), 1909 envelope to U.S.A. bearing 1s. (10) and four-colour franking envelope to England; a good group. Photo
