An Arita globular teapot and cover
Early 18th Century
decorated in iron-red enamels and gilt with meandering kiku tendrils on a green enamel ground, the cover and spout similarly decorated, the vertical loop handle moulded with kiku heads and painted with whorl patterns -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) high, (small hairline crack to rim).
