A decoupe fan, the leaf painted with a farmer and his wife with a shepherd, with farm buildings beyond, the upper half of the fan of cut-paper work, with ivory sticks , carved and pierced with chinoiserie, the upper half of the sticks of mother of pearl painted with chinoiserie figures, the verso with a hound chasing a hare - 11in. (28cm.), circa 1770 - in contemporary box by B. Coker inscribed Ancient Fan Ivory and Pearl broken 3946 (repairs to five mother of pearl panels)
