The sledge, a fan, the silk leaf painted with children dressed as Pierrette and a Jester ride a sledge, whilst others dressed as clowns pelt them with snowballs, with ivory sticks - 14in. (35cm.), circa 1890 - in quilted satin box by Antonio Gomez; and a black lace fan of Chantilly type worked with bagpipes, mounted over cyclamen pink satin, the mother of pearl sticks stained pink - 11in.
