A unusual fan, the leaf painted en grisaille apart from the faces with two vignettes of shepherds and shepherdesses, and another of five fish, the verso with a landscape, the ivory sticks carved, pierced and painted en grisaille with a bird and blossom - 10in. (25cm.), circa 1750
