Lot Essay

Jules Moigniez was born at Senlis (Oise) in 1835, he died there in 1894. He studied under Comoléra and worked as an Animalier. His father was a metal-gilder who established a bronze foundry in 1857, and cast his son's works. He participated in the Great Exhibition of 1862 and won a medal.
