A BYZANTINE BRONZE PROCESSIONAL CROSS
Circa Late 6th-Early 7th Century A.D.
Solid cast, the flaring arms each terminating in projecting knobs, with a suspension loop on the underside of the side arms, engraved on one side with decoration and an inscription covering most of the surface, a bust of Christ and a star composed of a cross and a christogram above, the Marys at the empty tomb and two christogram stars below, the right arm with Saint Bacchos, the left arm with Saint Sergios, the inscription throughout identifying the scene as well as an invocation consisting of the words "Lord Help" along with the name of the donor of the cross
