The corniche case engraved with foliate scrolls, mounted with pink porcelain side panels (damages and restorations), each with gilt and jewelled borders enclosing scenes of rustic lovers in 18th century costume, the conforming dial also with turquoise jewelled borders, painted with a seated lady being approached by Cupid, with floral sprays above, the pink chapter ring with gilt-bordered white reserves for Roman chapters and jewelled beads between, with gilt spade hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with strike/repeat/alarm on gong the backplate with punched stamp B
