Lot Essay

The sitter was the son of William Adams of Bagnall and Fenton Hall, Stoke on Trent and his wife Sarah Heath. He was First Chief Bailiff of Stoke-upon-Trent and Master of the North Staffordshire Harriers (1836-1840)
