A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth and hours and minutes, the meridian of Greenwich ungraduated, the ecliptic graduated in days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac, the oceans with an analemma, Antarctica with projected coastline, the continents with some nation states delicately hand-outlined in green or red and finely detailed, showing towns, cities, rivers, mountains and the Great Wall of China (largely distressed with general darkening, areas of discolouration, abrasion, rubbing, varnish loss, cracks and an area of paper loss with repair approx 2¼ x 1¾in. in South America) with stamped brass hour dial and meridian circle, the mahogany horizon with hand-coloured paper ring graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth, compass directions, days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac, edged in red (general discolouration and abrasions), supported on three baluster-turned and fluted legs, united by turned cross-stretchers -- 19in.
