A French gilt-brass and guilloché enamel mounted striking four-glass mantel clock, late 19th century
The stepped top and base with bead and reel mounts, with outset red guilloché enamel and gilt star decorated columns to the front, the gilt chapter ring with Arabic circlets and florally pierced centre mount overlaid on a red enamel ground, blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on gong, stamped for Japy Frères, with red enamel centre to the pendulum -- 11¾in. (30cm.) high
