Kuliyat 'Iraqi
India, early 16th century
the complate works of the poet 'Iraqi, Persian manuscript on paper, 15ll. of black nasta'liq in two columns, gold divisions, gold and green margins between black rules, blue outer rule, headings in gold or colours with a gold floral panel on either side, margins of cream, buff or pale blue paper painted with gold floral lozenges, opening folio with finely illuminated heading, the margins of it and the following six bifolios painted in gold with plants, birds and animals, later Indian maroon morocco binding with gold stamped medallion, pendants and spandrels, maroon leather doublures with gold painted border - 23 x 13.2cm.
