A Chinese parcel gilt bronze censer and cover
18th Century
the compressed body of quatrefoil section, each side with incised garden scenes between flanges, on three small tripod feet with lion-mask terminals, the handles also in the form of lion-heads, the pierced gilt cover cast with phoenix amongst lotus and a buddhistic lion finial, on a wood stand, in a fitted silk-lined brocade box -- 4in. (10.1cm.) wide, (one handle slightly loose, rubbing).
