A cizhou pear-shaped pottery vase
Yuan Dynasty
with flaring neck and slightly everted rim, painted in cream and brown with shaped panels of butterflies amongst scrolling foliage on a ground reserved with scattered lotus and chrysanthemum sprays, the neck with foliate and geometric designs -- 9 1/8in. (23cms) high, (restoration to top of neck), fitted box.
