Lot Essay

The Fabiano to whom this drawing is dedicated was a French journalist/painter/designer/writer, who met Walt Disney at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The two became friendly, and Disney executed this drawing of Mickey Mouse for Fabiano.
In 1951, Fabiano wrote a book Mes Modèles, A Travers Le Monde in which he recalls his meeting with Disney.
