Lot Essay

The scene in the castle, with Inspector Clouseau disguised as the dentist, provides some of the most entertaining moments of the film. Former Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus is by this stage insane, driven to murderous deeds by the hapless Clouseau who is entirely unaware of the torment he has inflicted on his former superior. Disguised as a dentist, he hopes to infiltrate the castle, capture Drefus and return him to the mental asylum.
