Christopher Lee as villain Francisco Scaramanga can be seen wearing identical cufflinks throughout the film, most notably in the sequence where he assembles the now famous 'Golden Gun'. Perhaps now one of the most famous gadgets from a Bond film, this ingenious piece of equipment was made up of a cigarette case, a lighter, a fountain pen, and to form the trigger, one of the cufflinks.
According to the vendor, these cufflinks were acquired at a charity auction held at Evesham School, Iver Heath, near Pinewood Studios. They were donated to the Parent Teachers Association in circa 1976/1977 by Pinewood Studios to help raise funds for the school.
