Lot Essay

Milos Columbo [Topol] is the likeable gold and diamond smuggler known as 'The Dove', and arch-rival of Aris Kristatos [Julian Glover]. Initially the prime suspect as the man hired by the KGB to steal the ATAC, Columbo is seen wearing an identical blazer to the one included in this lot in the scene on his yacht when he convinces Bond [Roger Moore] that he is his ally against Kristatos, who he exposes as a KGB double agent, and the man who has been framing him for numerous crimes.
