6 volumes bound in 8, large 4° (310 x 240mm.), half titles, engraved frontispieces in volumes I-IV and VI (in two states in vol. VI), titles printed in red and black, interleaved (occasional spotting), half blue morocco by F. Bedford, spines lettered in gilt, t.e.g. Provenance: contemporary manuscript annotations thoughout in black ink or pencil, all additions to the catalogue.

LIMITED EDITION. Volumes I and VI are limited to 500 copies, volumes II-V to 475 copies, each with a different limitation number, all printed on "papier vergé". The artists listed in this extensive catalogue are Nicolas Lavreince, Pierre-Antoine Baudouin, Jean Baptiste Siméon Chardin, Nicolas Lancret, Augustin de Saint-Aubin and Jean Michel Moreau. (8)
