Fourth edition in Latin of Agricola's treatise on mining and metallurgy, first published in 1556. It was the standard textbook for over two hundred years. The woodcuts depict smelting, assaying, ventilating, hoisting etc. Wellcome II, 18; Krivatsy 76.
