A rare Crämer Scotch Beakin-Scotland's best
with golden brown tipped blonde mohair, clear and black glass eyes with brown painted backs, inset short mohair muzzle and face mask, brown stitched nose and claws, red stitched mouth, swivel head, jointed limbs with felt hand pads, large short mohair feet with painted felt feet, slight hump, squeaker and original Scottish outfit with orange velvet collard top half, kilt and sporan --7¾in. (19.5cm.) high, circa 1938 (missing hat and shoes, bald patch to forehead, thinning to back of head, discoloration to front, other wear and one foot pad with red number written on it) and a replica of this bear undressed, No.200 of a Limited Edition of 200, original labels and cellophane packet (2)

From a series of Crämer teddy bears made for F.A.O. Schwarz. The 1938 Christmas catalogue states 'Scotch Bearkin-Scotland's best ! He measures 8" tall from the of his plaid cap to the soles of his red leather shoes. His brown plush body is fittingly dressed with a red jacket, plaid kilts, sporran and all. Our own design, $2.50'
