An early Steiff centre-seam teddy bear
with long silky apricot mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced muzzle with black stitched nose, mouth and five claws on each paw, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs, soft stuffing, hump and blank button in ear --19¾in. (50cm.) high, circa 1904 (small patches of wear to top of right leg, right side front of body and other slight thinning, left hand pad with small restored hole and other minute pin holes to pads)
