Details
An extremely fine exhibition standard 7mm finescale two rail electric model of the BR (ex LMS) Class 5 4-6-0 locomotive and tender No. 44874,
built by V. Green 1989/90 very specifically to present the model as was the prototype in August 1968, and with outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear, finely fluted motion, cylinder drains and relief vlaves, lubricators, oil boxes, sanding boxes and pipes, brake gear, pipework and rivet detail, scale cab and backhead fittings glazed cab, steps, hand and lamp irons. Tender details include rivets, brake gear, water cocks, tool boxes, pick-up scoop, filler cap and vents, steps, hand and lamp irons, painted in BR black livery with white, grey and red lining by A. Brackenborough -- 9 x 17¾in. (9.5 x 45cm.). Display base and plexiglass cover.
