A 19th-Century lacquered-brass Culpeper-pattern microscope,
unsigned, with rack and pinion focusing (partially defective), the body tube on three scroll supports above the circular stage, itself on three scroll supports from the stepped mahogany base, with concave substage mirror, a drawer in the base with five numbered objectives, frog plate, stage forceps, six ivory sliders and other items, in the original pyramid-shaped box with brass carrying handle -- 16½in. (42cm.) high
