Lot Essay

Lieutenant James Hamilton Waddell, who was born in 1893 and a graduate of Edinburgh University, enlisted as a Private in 1915. Commissioned into the Royal Scots as a 2nd Lieutenant in December 1916, he was mortally wounded on 5.6.1917, while serving with the 11th Battalion.
