Two volumes, chancery 4o (190 x 144 mm). Collation: Vol. I: π8 3-48 56 a-z \\i \\j \\g aa-ff6 gg4. 290 leaves. Vol. II: +8 ++10; A-Z AA-ZZ AAA-EEE8. 425 leaves (of 426; without final blank). 50 lines and head-line, double column. Roman type 21:84 (title of Vol. I), Gothic types 23:160 (title of Vol. II), 11:110 (text), 17:58 (small text type). Two woodcut initials "S" at beginning of text in each volume. Initial spaces with printed guide-letters. Lombard initials supplied in red in Vol. I, a few capital strokes in yellow at end of vol. I. (Small marginal repair on OO2 in vol. II, occasional pale mostly marginal dampstaining, some marginal worming.) 16th-century Italian vellum (vol. II worn). Provenance: early inscription dated 1532 on title of vol. I -- "C.G." (stamp on title in vol. I) -- Estelle Doheny (morocco bookplates; purchased from Dawson's Bookshop, Los Angeles, 1 August 1941) -- donated to SMS 1941.
