Petit's fine metalcut device (Renouard Marques 881: lion and leopard flanking shield hanging from tree) on a1r, Kerver's metalcut device (Renouard Marques 501: two unicorns flanking shield hanging from tree) on a8v. Modern maroon morocco, gilt arabesque in center of covers. Provenance: Estelle Doheny (paper bookplate) -- donated to SMS November 1943.
