I renewed, some pale dampstaining and occasional pale soiling.) Early 17th-century Parisian red morocco gilt, decorated paper endleaves (light wear along joints). Provenance: Henry Yates Thompson (1838-1928; bookplate in vol. I) -- James Brogden (armorial bookplate in vol. II) -- Estelle Doheny (morocco bookplates; purchased from Maggs Bros., London, 13 August 1944) -- donated to SMS 1944.
