16o (125 x 90 mm). Collation: a-b8 c4 A-Z8 a-z8 Aa-Gg8. 460 leaves (including 2 blanks at end). Contemporary hand-colored woodcut illustration of SS. Ulrich and Afra with their coat-of-arms and arms of the monastery and two additional hand-colored woodcut illustrations pasted to blank (?) verso of X8, k2 and front paste-down. Contemporary blind-stamped calf over wooden boards, two clasps, gilt and gauffered edges with initials "FIM" tooled on fore-edge (rebacked with old spine laid down, corner repaired, one catch missing); cloth folding case.

Provenance: Frater Joh. Merkle (initials on fore-edge, 7 page manuscript notation "Professio fidei" at end, notation of his progress in the monastry from 1559 to 1589 in the Calender) -- Oettingen-Wallerstein (armorial ink stamp on title) -- Jacob P.R. Lyell (bookplate) -- Estelle Doheny (morocco bookplate) -- donated to SMS 12 December 1946.
