Green morocco gilt, upper cover ruled with two single fillets, inner panel gilt lettered with title and author's name, central morocco onlaid gilt decorated design of green, red and brown morocco, depicting a church-yard, spine in six compartments, gilt lettered in one, rest with oak leaf design, turn-ins gilt with two single fillets enclosing gilt lettering along sides and floral decoration in corners, brown morocco doublures with central gilt portrait of Gray and semé of smaller tools, silk linings, lower doublures stamp-singed "Bound for J.W. Robinson Company BY SANGORSKI AND SUTCLIFFE," gilt and gauffered edges (light fading to spine, lower cover with some minor scratching).
