A MEISSEN ORMOLU-MOUNTED FIGURE OF A BEGGAR MUSICIAN
The porcelain circa 1745, the ormolu and tôle peinte late 19th/early 20th Century
Modelled by J.J. Kändler as a seated beggar playing the hurdy-gurdy, in black hat, grey jacket and brown trousers in tatters, on a circular mound base, before a tôle peinte tree with French porcelain flowers, on a scroll base (restoration to beggar's fingers of left hand, left leg and right ankle, some minor chipping and flaking, chipping to flowers)
