Wrought by Julia A. Wysong, Charlestown, Maryland, dated 1824
Worked in green, pink, blue, yellow, black and peach threads with seven alphabetical registers above the inscription Jesus permit thy gracious name to stand As the first efforts of a youthful hand And while her fingers o'er this canvass move Engage her tender heart to seek thy love With thy dear children let her share a part And write thy name thyself upon her heart--" over "Julia . A. Wysong's work. Charles Town..." within a meandering vine surround issuing berries
