The ewer vase-form on a circular base, the body chased with scene of a farmer and his wife gathering wood in front of cottages, the front engraved with a presentation inscription, the scroll handle surmounted by an eagle and shield above an American flag, with Greek key borders; the oval tray with gadrooned rim, the field engraved with scrolling foliage and Hon. N.B. Browne; marked under base and rim
