A STAFFORDSHIRE OR YORKSHIRE PEARLWARE FOOTED BRANDY BOWL, TWO PLATES AND AN OVAL DISH
Circa 1800-1830
Painted in the typical palette of brown, ochre, green and blue, the basin of the bowl inscribed 'BRANDY' within a wide band of trailing lilies, 6½in. (16.4cm.) diam.; the plates each with a flower spray enclosed within a ribbon and trailing vine surround, blue 'feuille-de-choux' rim, 8¼in. (20.9cm.) diam; the oval dish with pansies within a scale-moulded band and further leaf-moulded green rim, 10 1/8in. (25.7cm.) diam. (4)
