Lot Essay

Dr. J.Q. Feller in The Canton Famille Rose Porcelains discusses several dinner services in closely related patterns which also have an initial or initials rather arbitrarily added to the exuberant enamel decoration (pp. 6,10,12). A sugar bowl in this group (p. 8) closely follows a New Hall form of 1812-21
