In the Renaissance style, the oviform ewer with a satyr seated on the shoulder, its head coming up between the split handle, applied with a ram's mask suspending fruiting vines looping along each side and up behind the satyr

Lot Essay

The present example is number 5 from a limited edition of 25 examples. This edition was the first made in white on pale blue since the transfer of the factory to its present location at Barlaston in 1940. A copy of a certificate of authentication form the factory accompanies this lot.
