TWO COPPER-MOUNTED BILSTON ENAMEL TRIFLE BOXES AND TWO SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE EXAMPLES

The first rectangular, printed in black and enriched in colors with a crowned military trophy above the motto 'VIVE LE ROY', the sides alternately striped with laurel and entwined pink ribbon, 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) long; the second oval, printed in black and enriched in bluye and green with 'Crescent Buxton' named below, the sides with a garland of blossoms, 1¾in. (4.4cm.); the third oval, painted in colors on a pink 'linen' ground with a raised butterfly within foliate scrolls, 2in. (5.1cm.) long; the fourth rectangular and similarly decorated on a lavender 'cheescloth' ground with a bouquet reserved within white foliate scrolls, the ground further decorated with raised flowers, 2 3/8in.
