The rectangular top over a slant-front, opening to a gilt-tooled brown leather-lined writing surface, and various pigeon-holes, compartments and a covered well, over two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, feather-banded overall, the brasses are later, the hinges to the fall replaced and the feet replaced in oak, the locks stamped PAT/LEVER and with various numbers
