Tasting note: The best wartime vintage. Warm orange amber, classic bouquet, very forthcoming, fairly powerful, noticeable acidity and alcohol; medium-sweet, drying out though warm rich and positive, its highish volatile acidity merely adding a high-toned fragrance. Aftertaste like the crust of crème caramel. M.B.
