Of rectangular form, a recessed handle at the top, the front opening as two doors, the red velvet lined interior divided for bottles and jars (five present), with two drawers with further implements within, an ivory plaque inscribed SQUIRE, CHEMIST TO THE QUEEN, 277 OXFORD ST. LONDON -- 8 5/8in. (21.8cm.) wide; and another Victorian mahogany and brass mounted apothecary's chest, circa 1840, smaller, containing bottles (2)
