A large pair of baluster vases
19th Century
with elongated necks, decorated in polychrome enamels and underglaze blue with shaped panels of water irises, cranes in flight, pavilions within mountainous landscapes and birds amongst kiku, all on an iron-red ground of scrolling foliage reserved with scattered floral motifs and diaper pattern medallions -- 30½in. (77.5cm.) high, (areas of restoration to necks), iron-red six character marks to bases.
