carved grappling with one another both with one leg raised above an oval base, incised signature to base -- 2in. (5.2cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of gama sennin wearing long robes with a toad seated on his shoulders -- 2 5/8in. (6.6cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of a young boy wearing loose robes and holding a fan -- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high; and another ivory netsuke of Hotei standing wearing loose open robes holding a fan and carrying a large sack over his shoulder, a small boy clambers on his back, incised signature to base -- 2in. (5.1cm.) high. (4)
