of rectangular octagonal form, the hinged cover opening to reveal an oval mirror, fitted boxes and ivory sewing utensils, sliding lower drawer, raised on claw supports, decorated with scenes of dignitaries and families in tree-strewn gardens of pavillions on grounds of butterflies among scattered foliage -- 14¼in. (36.2cm.) diam.; and a Chinese softwood six-fold table screen, the central panels incised decorated with figures around a table among rockwork and flowering brances, calligraphy, signed -- 15¾in.
