Eight vintages of Bâtard-Montrachet, seven vintages of Bienvenues-Bâtard, nine vintages of Chevalier-Montrachet - this is an extraordinary collection. The great Vincent Leflaive was responsible for all these wines (he died in 1993). He was a much-loved bon-viveur, who embodied the spirit of the Domaine, and indeed spoke for the village of Puligny, for many years. His wines are luscious, buttery, silken in texture, harmonious - and consistently soft on the finish. AH
