by François-Vincent Garand (fl. 1739-1791), marked, Paris, 1768, with the charge of Jean-Jacques Prevost 1762-1768, the caps of the bottles with the discharge of Julien Alaterre 1768-1774, one cap with the counter-mark of Julien Alaterre 1768-1774
Upright rectangular box, the cover, sides and base set with panels of mother-of-pearl framed by engraved bright-cut gold mounts and centred by gold trophies pierced and chased with trophies of military music, gardening, painting and astronomy, gold pushpiece, the inside of the base fitted with four cut-glass perfume bottles with stoppers and gold caps and with gold funnel
